Moon Sweepers calculators: choose a planning task

The progress calculator is the one calculator currently available here. It is useful when you can define a target and measure progress toward it. If you cannot yet explain the earning loop or the reason for a purchase, read the relevant guide before turning that uncertainty into an estimate.

Prepare inputs that describe the same job

Choose one amount unit and keep it consistent across the target, completed amount and measured progress. Dust quantities and player-defined equivalent hexes answer different questions; do not mix them in one estimate. A hex estimate is only useful when the areas are comparable in size and difficulty.

Use a recent interval that includes the normal work you want to estimate. A cleaning-only measurement will not account for a delivery cycle’s travel and unloading unless those activities are included in the measurement.

InputWhat to record
Target and completed amountYour own goal and the amount already completed toward that goal, using the same unit.
Measured amount and minutesProgress made during a timed interval that resembles the work still ahead.
Measurement modeWhether the measured amount already covers the whole team or is an average for one player.
Optional dust capacityCapacity in the same dust unit; leave it blank if it is unknown or irrelevant.

Count the team once

Select the whole-team mode when your measurement already includes everyone’s progress. Adding crew size to that measurement again would make the estimate too optimistic. Use per-player mode only when the amount is an average for one player and similar work by the stated crew is a reasonable assumption.

The numbers in this comparison are hypothetical. Different roles, idle time or unequal equipment can make a simple per-player average unrepresentative; a whole-team observation often avoids that extra assumption.

MeasurementHow the calculator treats it
Whole team collected 50 units in 10 minutesTeam pace is 5 units per minute; crew size is not multiplied in.
One-player average is 50 units in 10 minutes, with four comparable playersEstimated team pace is 20 units per minute; the average is multiplied by four once.

Read the result as a scenario

Remaining amount is target minus completed amount. Remaining minutes are that amount divided by the measured team pace. Optional dust loads divide the remaining amount by capacity and round upward; they are an equivalent load count, not a scheduled route or a prediction of travel time.

For a hypothetical target of 1,000 units, 250 completed and a whole-team measurement of 50 units in 10 minutes, the result is 25% complete with 150 minutes remaining. A capacity of 60 units gives 13 equivalent loads. These values demonstrate the formula, not Moon Sweepers’ actual speed or capacity.

Measure again when the work changes

An old result can remain mathematically correct for its inputs while no longer describing your next session. Record a new representative interval instead of treating the estimate as a guaranteed finish time or an official percentage of the entire Moon.

  • A different tool, route or material changes the work being measured.
  • Players join, leave or change roles.
  • The next area differs from the terrain used for the measurement.
  • Travel, unloading or downtime takes a different share of the cycle.

Plan an upgrade around the delay you observed

The time estimate does not decide which purchase is best. Identify the part of the cycle causing the delay, check the displayed cost and requirements in your game, and compare that purchase with your available funds. No unverified upgrade multiplier or payback ranking is supplied here.

Keep a browser plan separate from your game save

The calculator runs in the browser and does not upload your input values. Saving inputs on this device is optional. A saved calculator plan is not a Steam save, does not read your world and does not synchronize with friends. Reset clears the current form; clearing saved inputs is a separate action.

This directory explains the site’s own calculator and editorial planning method. Its arithmetic example is hypothetical, not a measured game rate. No official whole-Moon total, automatic save reading or upgrade-performance database is used.
